A unique handmade London Plane leaf brooch. This is a blue leaf with gold running through it and touches of iridescent copper, green and turquoise. There are many London Plane trees all over the city. Their leaves can grow to a huge size and there's a big variation in the shapes and colours too. This brooch is inspired by a local tree who has quite deeply cut leaves.

It's just under 3 inches from leaf tip to leaf tip.

Wearable Art
Each piece is handmade and unique. I cut out each shape and add colour, metallic pigments and resin. The colour moves as it cures, making interesting patterns. I build up layers of colour giving the piece real depth. Once cured the finish is rather like enamel.
