20 x 16″ commission

Two black cats sitting by the water. These two are quite the hunters. Big Cat, when we're not fighting for the office chair, often brings his owner things. His catalogue includes apples, fircones, small branches with leaves, grasshoppers (live), huge spiders (live), mice (live), small birds (live) and frogs, that his owner releases back in the river. He once brought in a huge Koi, that a passing heron had dropped! Small Cat defends the house from any live animal, that soon becomes a deceased animal,  which he proudly displays, arranged in a line, but does not interfere with any animal that Big Cat has procured. What a pair of characters!

So the idea was born to capture their inner selves in their reflections. Black leopards seemed appropriate for such an enterprising duo.

It’s a 20×16 inch oil painting framed in a lovely driftwood frame.
